Santa Fe Mountains

The forests surrounding Santa Fe have made our region a world renowned destination for artists and healers as well as a highly valued attraction for tourists. Their importance spared this ironic landscape from the post-World War II logging that devastated many western forests. But all that is in the past. Now one of the largest logging operations in the history of the Santa Fe National Forest has begun plowing into this roadless expanse.
